The crop is known to have anti -inflammatory, antihistaminic, muscle relaxant, fever reducing and sugar lowering properties. Some studies indicate that adlai has anti-allergic, anti-mutagenic, hypolipemic, and anti-diabetic effects.
EASY TO PREPARE
Cooking with adlai is easy: all you have to do is throw it into a pot, one part adlai and two parts (or more) of water, and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes until cooked. It will be slightly chewy with a firm bite-similar to an al dente noodle, and will not absorb all the water. It also cooks beautifully in a rice cooker!
Love Local, Support Local
Agrico responded to the call for help of Adlai farmers in Lantapan, Bukidnon. Currently, there is an excess inventory of 1,700 kg of processed Adlai rice. The COVID-19 crisis has affected the sale of Adlai harvest to its existing markets and buyers.
